Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this covers

This policy covers learnerscare.com. It covers the information we collect when you visit those pages, request a free course, join our email list, or apply to our partner programme.

It does not cover Udemy. Our courses are hosted and sold by Udemy, an independent company. Once you click a course link and arrive on Udemy, Udemy is the data controller and Udemy’s privacy policy applies. We never receive your card details, and we do not receive your Udemy account information.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us.

• Email address — when you request a free course, subscribe, or contact us.
• Name — where a form asks for it.
• Partner application details — where you apply to the partner programme: your name, email, the platforms you promote on, and, before we can pay you, your payout account details and a completed IRS Form W-9, W-8BEN or W-8BEN-E.
• Anything you write to us — the content of emails you send us.

2.2 Information collected automatically. When you visit our pages, our platform (WordPress, hosted on our own infrastructure) records standard technical information: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, the pages you viewed, and the date and time. This is used to keep the site working, to prevent abuse, and to understand which pages people find useful.

2.3 What we do not collect. We do not collect payment card details on this site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. We do not collect special-category data — health, biometrics, political opinions and the like — and you should not send it to us.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

4. Double opt-in, and how to leave

We use double opt-in. After you submit your email we send you a confirmation link. Nothing is sent to you, and you are not counted as a subscriber, until you click it. If you never click it, your address is deleted from the pending list within 30 days.

Every marketing email we send carries an unsubscribe link in the footer. It takes effect immediately. You can also email support@learnerscare.com and ask to be removed, and we will do it by hand.

Unsubscribing from marketing does not delete your record entirely — we keep a suppression entry so that we do not accidentally email you again. That is the minimum we can keep and still honour your choice.

5. Who we share it with

We share your information only with:

• Service providers who process it for us, under contract and on our instructions — our website, hosting and email platform, and payment providers where we owe a partner money. They may not use your data for their own purposes.
• Professional advisers — accountants and lawyers, where necessary.
• Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
• A buyer, if the business is sold or merged. You would be told before your data moved to a new controller.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We have not done so in the past twelve months.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Our pages use cookies to keep the site functioning — remembering that a form was submitted, keeping a session alive, and preventing repeat submissions — and to record the aggregate page statistics described in 2.2.

If you arrived through a partner’s tracking link, a cookie records which partner referred you so that they can be paid for a confirmed sign-up. It identifies the partner, not you.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them may stop forms on our site from working correctly.

If we add third-party analytics or advertising cookies in future, we will say so on this page before doing it.

7. Where your data is held

We are a United States company and our service providers are primarily in the United States. If you are in the UK, the European Economic Area, or another region with data transfer restrictions, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States. Where required, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or the equivalent UK addendum, as the transfer mechanism in our contracts with providers.

8. How long we keep it

• Subscribers: while you are subscribed, and for 24 months after your last interaction with our emails, after which the record is deleted.
• Unconfirmed sign-ups: 30 days, then deleted.
• Suppression list: indefinitely, because that is what stops us emailing you again.
• Partner records: for the life of the participation and for seven years afterwards, because US tax law requires it.
• Correspondence: 24 months.

9. Your rights

Wherever you live, you may ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct anything inaccurate;
• delete your information;
• stop sending you marketing, at any time, for any reason or none.

If you are in the UK or EEA you additionally have the right to restrict or object to processing, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing already carried out. If you are in California you have the right to know, delete, correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing — although as stated in section 5 we do neither — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of them, email support@learnerscare.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity, which usually means replying from the address we hold.

If you are in the UK or EEA and you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner’s Office.

10. Children

This site is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email support@learnerscare.com and we will delete it.

11. Security

We use the security controls provided by our platform, including encryption in transit, access controls, and multi-factor authentication on administrative accounts. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that a determined attacker will never succeed. If a breach affects your information and the law requires us to tell you, we will, without undue delay.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this page. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will email subscribers before it takes effect.
