Sifu Roberson Douge
Sifu Roberson Douge was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti where he began his martial arts training at the age of 10 years old and now has over 30 years of experience. He practiced a variety of martial arts styles such as Japanese Shotokan and Karate, Taekwondo ITF, as well as Judo. A few months after he moved to the United States in 1998, He met Sifu Julian K. Duran who became his Kung Fu Master and began his Fu-Jow Pai training venture at the age of 18 years old. From that time Sifu Roberson concentrated all his efforts on learning the Fu-Jow Pai system (Tiger Claw Style).
Under the direction of Master Duran, he rapidly began to excel in his training and participated in many Chinese Martial Arts Championships from 1999 to 2001 where he was awarded first place in many form demonstrations and the championship title in full contact combats. In addition, Sifu Roberson had the privilege to train on many occasions under his Grand-Master Wai Hong, who is the inheritor of the Fu-Jow Pai system, and participated in many several seminars where Grand-Master Wai Hong was teaching.
In 2001, Sifu Roberson became an instructor at his Master’s school, The Kung Fu Conservatory, in Boca Raton Florida. Later in June 2011, Master J. Duran gave his blessing to Roberson where he officially made him a Sifu/Master and granted him his authorization to teach the Fu-Jow Pai system on his own.
Sifu Roberson began to offer private sessions as well as closed-door lessons for a few months until he and his wife and three children moved to Palm Bay Florida where he opened his school and is now making Fu-Jow Pai available to all who want to learn, adults and children alike.
In addition to Sifu Roberson’s martial arts achievement, he also holds a Doctorate degree in Theology and a major in Chaplaincy. He is the Senior Pastor of Apostolic Church Of Christ, Inc, and founder of Rhema Apostolic University. He is the author of the book titled “The Believer’s Faith Against Demonic Warfare” and travels in many countries and throughout the United States to speak and teach in conferences and summits.
This is how Sifu Roberson explains his concept of kung fu: “Kung fu is self-expression. It affects my life by increasing my humility, self-confidence, and wisdom. Kung fu totally transformed my personality and plays a huge part in what I’ve become today: a better person. I remain with the belief that there’s more to come in my life with kung fu involved; for the art itself is grand and profound. Through my dedication and devotion for kung fu, the best of me is to be expected”.
